Fragrance families group many individual notes into an understandable character. One candle may belong to several families and evolve noticeably over time.
Gourmand and sweet
Vanilla, caramel, cocoa and pastry notes often feel warm and edible. Spicy or woody accents can balance sweetness.
Woody, resinous and smoky
Sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, incense and fireplace accords range from dry to balsamic. 'Smoky' describes the fragrance, not soot from the candle.
Fresh, citrus and green
Citrus peel, herbs, mint, marine and leafy notes often feel uplifting. Musk, woods or amber can add persistence and warmth.
