Paraffin-free scented candles
Wax type affects appearance, melting behaviour and possible formulations. On its own, however, it determines neither scent performance nor overall candle quality.
Plant-based waxes
Soy, rapeseed and coconut waxes are often used in blends. Origin, processing and transport vary widely, so look for specific evidence behind sustainability claims.
Beeswax and blends
Beeswax has a natural scent and is not vegan. Blends can balance burn behaviour and fragrance release; the word 'blend' is not inherently a mark of lower quality.
Look for transparency
Compare full material information, maker instructions and actual burn performance. Terms such as 'natural' or 'clean' mean little without a precise explanation.
